MAD Artes Digitales presents its next creation: CLEOPATRA, THE IMMERSIVE EXHIBITION, an experience that will transport visitors to the heart of Hellenistic Egypt to rediscover one of the most fascinating women in global history.
Following the international success of its previous productions, Tutankhamun, The Last Days of Pompeii and The Legend of the Titanic, MAD has now reached 12 countries across 4 continents and welcomed over 3 million visitors worldwide. In Madrid, the space at Nave 16 in Matadero Madrid is getting ready to host MAD’s most ambitious production to date.
CLEOPATRA, THE IMMERSIVE EXHIBITION takes us into the 1st century BCE to explore the life of the last great queen of Ancient Egypt through scenic recreations, 360º projections, virtual reality, and for the first time at MAD, cutting-edge hologram technology.
More than just an exhibition, this new original creation is a multisensory journey through Ptolemaic Egypt, unveiling Cleopatra in all her complexity, from her divine role and political genius to the legendary love stories with Julio Caesar and Mark Antony.
The experience unfolds across the different spaces of Nave 16 at Matadero Madrid, with an immersive narrative structured into four distinct experiences:
Scenic recreations featuring stage design, replicas, and artifacts from the 1st century BCE, alongside informative panels to contextualize the era.
360º immersive projections tracing Cleopatra’s life from coronation to death, exploring her role as Isis reborn, a scholar, political figure and enduring icon.
A journey through the metaverse, taking visitors through the Ptolemaic catacombs, the Siwa Oasis, her private chambers, and a Roman military camp during the Battle of Actium.
A hologram experience, where pivotal moments of the Ptolemaic dynasty come alive, and Cleopatra is remembered as a girl, a queen, a mother, a lover and a myth.
