“CLEOPATRA, THE IMMERSIVE EXHIBITION” is the fourth and most ambitious production by MADRID ARTES DIGITALES to date. More than an exhibition, this original creation is a multisensory journey through Ptolemaic Egypt, inviting visitors to discover Cleopatra as a political strategist, divine figure and pivotal force in the history of power.

With cutting-edge technology and groundbreaking immersive formats - holograms, immersive room, virtual reality and metaverse - the experience offers an unprecedented journey into the world of Egypt’s last great queen.

NEW EXPERIENCES: HOLOGRAMS AND MORE

The experience begins with a symbolic sun setting on the horizon, marking the twilight of Ancient Egypt and the prologue to the journey ahead. Visitors are then guided through an interactive challenge using an Augmented Reality app to find five QR codes throughout the exhibition, unlocking additional content.

This new season expands the exhibition with innovative experiences that transform how Cleopatra’s story is told. The visit continues with a spectacular hologram, viewed without glasses or devices, connecting the rise of Alexander the Great with the fall of Ancient Egypt to Rome. With advanced projection and an enveloping soundtrack, the Ptolemaic dynasty comes to life in three dimensions, featuring Cleopatra, Julius Caesar and Mark Antony.

 

The carefully designed scenography, including golden sculptures and representations of the goddess Isis, creates a unique setting to enjoy this technological marvel and its world-class content.

A RICHER, MORE AMBITIOUS JOURNEY

Visitors can also enjoy interactive tables exploring the city of Alexandria, immersive mirrors revealing symbolic details of Cleopatra’s image, and an impressive video mapping of the Lighthouse of Alexandria, reviving one of antiquity’s greatest icons.

 

All these innovations complement Madrid Artes Digitales’ signature experiences, including our “crown jewel”: the Immersive Room. Spanning 1,200 m² of projections, 8-meter-high screens and state-of-the-art 4K projectors, this space now features moving seats for a 25-minute projection accompanied by a powerful soundtrack recorded by an orchestra and choir of 52 musicians. This audiovisual production follows Cleopatra’s life in five chapters: her coronation, her religious role, her intellectual pursuits, her political conflicts and her symbolic death beneath the water.

Next, the Virtual Reality Room transports visitors to the destruction of Alexandria after a tsunami. Accompanied by divers, visitors explore submerged statues and temples before reaching Cleopatra’s sarcophagus at the Temple of Isis.

Finally, the Metaverse experience plunges visitors into pivotal scenes of history: the catacombs of Alexandria, Alexander the Great’s coronation at the Siwa Oasis, Mark Antony’s war tent at the Battle of Actium and the intimacy of Cleopatra’s private chamber.

All of this is included in the ticket price, making Cleopatra, The Immersive Exhibition the most complete and ambitious production ever presented by Madrid Artes Digitales.
